The 58th Annual Meeting of Carcinological Society of Japan (CSJ)

To whom it may concern,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our country is pursuing measures against possible second wave of COVID-19 spread. A number of academic societies have therefore decided to cancel their meetings and conferences scheduled in this autumn.

The board of Carcinological Society of Japan (CSJ) discussed on this matter and has made the difficult decision to cancel its face-to-face annual meeting. Instead, an online meeting for student presentations will be held as notified below. Further detailed information will be released through our society website.

Schedule

• Deadline for abstract submission and registration for presenters: 11 September 2020
  
• Deadline for registration: 25 September 2020
  
• Online meeting: 31 October 2020
  
• CSJ Business meeting (under consideration), CSJ award ceremony: 31 October 2020
  

Eligibility of participation and registration.

• Participation is limited to CSJ members.
  
• Registration via email
  
• Online ID etc. will be sent only to those who register for the meeting beforehand.
  
• Free of charge.
  
• Maximum number of participants: 100 (including meeting staff).
  

Presentation

• Presenters must be undergraduate students or higher degree program students, and the first author of the presentation should be a student member of CSJ. Co-authors (= non-first authors) are not necessarily CSJ members.
  
• Presentations are limited to oral ones via Zoom with presentation applications (PowerPoint, Keynote etc.).
  
• Languages: Japanese or English.
  
• Number of presentations may be limited by available meeting time.
  
• If number of presentations is limited, some regulations may be applied, e.g. one presentation per person, priority for those who need presentation records for their graduation etc.
  

Abstract book

• PDF softcopy only (no hard copy will be prepared).
  
• Available only for participants.
